มโหสถบัณฑิตกราบทูลว่า “จะเปิดเผยก็ได้พระพุทธเจ้าข้า แต่ต้องเลือกบุคคลที่จะเปิดเผยให้ถ่องแท้ หากว่าุบุคคลนั้น เป็นสตรีผู้มีใจคอไม่หนักแน่น ๑ เป็นผู้ที่ไม่ใช่มิตร ๑ เป็นผู้ฝักใฝ่ในอามิส คือมีความโลภในทรัพย์ ๑ เป็นผู้ที่มิใช่มิตรแต่ทำทีว่าเป็นมิตรด้วยแฝงความต้องการบางอย่าง ๑ บุคคลเหล่านี้ บัณฑิตต้องเว้นเสียเด็ดขาด ไม่ควรจะวางใจเลย
